Hello, TTW Family!
We have more exciting news for you all - something we have been working on for quite some time - New Bible Translations!
First - let me show you where you can change your default bible translation.
On the home screen, select "More" on the bottom right of the screen. Select "Settings," and then you can choose your translation from there. While you are at it, you can keep the "B-side Audio Guides" on by sliding the option on.
We are excited to let you know we are now featuring the Christian Standard Bible and the New Living Translation along with the New International Version on Through the Word!
Christian Standard Bible
Aimed at a balance between word-for-word (highly literal) and thought-for-thought (more readable) translation methods, the CSB aims to be as close to the original as possible, while emphasizing clarity for modern English readers.
New Living Translation
A readable translation, the NLT uses vocabulary and language structures commonly used by the average person today.
New International Version
An accurate and smooth reading version in Modern English, the NIV was designed to be easily understood when read aloud, making it a great choice for audio apps such as TTW. Scriptures read in the TTW audio guides are from the NIV.
We know that Bible translations are a very personal choice, with lots of opinions about which translation is best. Here at TTW, our opinion is that the best translation is the one you will read regularly and understand. We are still trying to obtain licenses for additional Bible translations - we would love to provide you with a variety of English language Bibles to choose from. ESV and ERV should be coming soon, followed by the KJV/NKJV.
God Bless!
Jonathan Ferguson
